OUR PASTOR

Reverend Herman Washington is Shepherd, Servant, Leader & Pastor of the Covenant Community at Shiloh Baptist Church, Rockville Centre, New York, where he has served faithfully since 1990.

It was under the watchful eye of his father, the later Reverend Julius Mosley, and Pastor of St. Stephen’s Baptist Church, in Philadelphia, PA., that Pastor Washington learned early on how to relate to the Body of Christ, gave his life to Him, and made a commitment to serve Him.

Now, having served in Ministry for more than 30 years, eight years as Pastor of Hopewell Baptist Church, Pennsgrove, NJ; and over 25 as imminent Pastor at Shiloh, his commitment is still the same: to lead in holiness, humility and honesty; to preach the Word of God, and to submit to the leading and guidance of the Holy Spirit.

With the unique, God-given ability to preach the Word of God, Pastor Washington has lectured and conducted seminars from Philadelphia, where he grew up, to as far as Lagos Nigeria. He continues to preach, and teach weekly Bible Studies at his church, and is frequently sought after to conduct lectures, seminars, revivals, and to preach in pulpits all across the country.

In December 2020, Pastor Washington authored, and published his first book; “The Truth About Submission,” with the intent to shed light and share understanding on this very controversial topic. Intended for the Church certainly, and the world at large, this book has been well and widely received, and is available for personal growth and corporate study.

Pastor Washington is father of three adult-children, Marissa Annette, Marlon Anthony and Marshall Andrew, and the husband of Lady Shonna Washington. They reside on Long Island.

Pastor Washington’s declaration is that to the best of his ability, he will preach and teach the Word of God, until the day that He can proclaim with the Apostle Paul,“I have told you everything that God wants you to know.” Acts 20:27 (CEV)
